Hey guys. I have an updizzle on the Legend of Fizzle. Wait... What?


Anyhoo...


I took it to a local guy, and he desoldered the hot side of the volume control (the left side when looking at the guts) and inserted a 2.7 meg resistor between the hot wire and the volume control. Unity gain is now at NOON! Glory!

That sounds about right. I put in a 1 MOhm resistor and it wasn't enough. I'll get around to fixing that eventually.

I also added a resistor to my Brassmaster clone and while it does help, it causes impedance issues with the output going to other effects. So it looks like it will need a volume pot, possibly before the final gain stage.

I was wondering what the triangle in the schematic above is.

Is is just an IC? If so, why is it shaped like a triangle?
