The Ellen Show

Justin,

Thaks for your answer...very much appreciated. Also, did you use any effect with the Rd Artist in this show? And one last thing: how content are you with the Rd Artist. Used to be my main bass ( black one) but now im more into 1996 Fender Precision 50th Anniversary, because the i think the electronics in the Rd Artist sometimes is very noisy and that's a big issue for playing. Thanks again

RD is great. Can't use it for everything, by a long shot. But it's a fun beast. No effects on Bird & The Bee, just a clean bass sound. Mine's not noisy. But then again, I'm not using the ******** "compressor" circuit that's in there. Nor am I using the treble boost. Those switches are toxic.

Just curious do you guys actually play live on Ellen or is it sync'd? I admire Ellen and what she's done over the past several years for herself. If there's a respectable example of how to get up after being down it's her.

And as far as Idol - she bring new life to that show and once Simon is gone next year it will probably be even more bedda. I really like the mix of talent this year.

JMJ nice gig! Still not that hot on bird and bee though, but I guess it pays the bills.

really? i don't know, dude...she has had a few funny comments, but when she got up and hugged that little pasty kid a couple weeks ago, i got douche chills. and it seems like she's managing at least one good douche chill moment a show now. i think she does a good talk show, but i never thought i'd say this but i miss paula. she was a lot more important to the show than i thought.

She doing her show in Orlando this week - you ought to drive up and see her! LOL.

JMJ - I really hope they don't make you wear that suit on the tour! I dig you man - but after seeing you with Beck and NIN this just is sorta....anti-something!

Sounds awesome! Lee Sklar would be proud. Actually, I don't think he played bass on that record... but he would still be proud.

I read about this Hall & Oates covers album in BP mag and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole thing - did you play on it?

Great performance... I enjoyed everything about it......what I noticed besides the great groove is the choreography...your stage moves do not mimic the ladies..which is totally cool. You had one of my faves....the shoulder groove "gettin' in my car seat" thing (those with kids will understand):)..

I think it would be great to play in a pop groove oriented thing as a side project..as long as it was musical and it grooved...and this DOES in droves...

Is that a db 410 with the ag500?

Thanks JMJ...
