I have the same exact dimensions. Height measured with feet is 10”, without is 9”.

Funnily enough I have spent the last three weeks getting a cover made for mine. The first cover I received was wrong, the second had an error, and I'm waiting on the third. It doesn't help that Fender has it wrong.

The Fender site states: 24-5 x 10 x 13-5, but I concur with the above posts : 24-5 X 10 X 14

Just got my Super Bassman 300, love it.

Has anyone swapped out the cooling fan for a quieter one? Any recommendations?

For home playing the stock fan is a bit distracting. Not terrible but there must be quieter options out there.

I've never noticed the fan on mine. Can't remember using it for a home prac etc tho... I did use it in SILENT mode for a recording a few yrs back tho. Don't remember the fan then either.

I find the VINTAGE channel to be just sublime. Especially when pushed past about 1/3 volume, it seems to mostly have just a little bit of "fur" on it.

I have found that fans tend to get noisier as they accumulate dust on the blades...a bit of a problem where I live. A little cleaning with a small soft brush seems to help.

I might have got one with a replacement fan. Anybody have one of these in there’s? All the pics I can find online don’t look like this pic of mine. Could account for my noise irritation.

Greetings from the North,

Regarding the 2/4/8 Ohm Selector on the rear of the SB. What would be the best selection for running a 4 Ohm cab plus an 8 Ohm cab (together) so as not to cause any damage? It would be used at low and medium volumes. Thanks

Assuming you're running speakers in parallel using the extension cab socket on either the amp or one of the cabs, that should work out at a 6 ohm nominal load. I'd go with 4 ohm option. Although I'd probably be too scared to run mixed impedence cabs myself, that's over-cautious me

I thought an 8 ohm and a 4 ohm cab in parallel was 2.67 ohms? Perhaps I’m wrong?

I thought it was about 2.67 too so I was hedging towards selecting 2.

With tube amps the consensus is that it is preferable to go under the amp rating, the opposite of solid state, so 4 ohms should be fine. That said, I doubt that an extra .67 ohms would be critical if you set the amp for 2 ohms. And yes, 2.67 ohms is correct.
