The First Song You Played in 2017

We covered this song, except we had a horn section do the cheesy keyboard parts. Our keyboard player used a piano sound.

The bass playing on this track is really good. I'd never even listened to a Selena song before our singer brought this one in.

The horn section did Auld Lang Syne at midnight without the band, so technically it wasn't the first song of the night for me.

At some point on 1/1/17 I went to my practice barn to get something. But I decided Then and there to pick up my bass for a few minutes and play You Can Call Me Al. Full system, cranked loud but with heavy limiter cuz it's kinda fun that way.

Shedding, was maybe Shake Your Body Down To The Ground.

First gig will be Wednesday, first song is the Overture to A Christmas Story, the musical. But I'm playing woodwinds (flute, Picc, clarinet, soprano sax, alto sax)

Next bass gig is unknown. My rock/blues band had the guitar player leave last month. It's unclear the band's future. I'm currently auditioning for new bands.
