The 4 string singlecut is the Orca model
The 5 string is the Custom model made to my specs (my main bass now)

The "pickup" is actually two humbuckers molded into a ramp-shaped cover. They're in the typical neck and bridge positions, so it still works like a two-pickup bass, but there's one uniform surface over which to play.

I picked it up last night, and it's easily the best fretless I've ever played. The setup is insanely good, the neck feels great, and the ramp has made me a believer in the concept.

I'll be joining the club soon. Getting my new Ibanez JTB200 defretted, making it my first fretless, and I should have it in about 9 days.

Brilliant bass for £250. Sounds, looks and feels great. Only problem I've had with it is fretbuzz, but, seeing as there aren't going to be any frets soon, that's no longer an issue

I'll post pics as soon as I get it back from the luthier.

Mine's not nearly as fancy as some of the stuff here...it was my first bass, a Fender Bullet Bass that I defretted after reading an interview with Jaco. Of course, I'm not nearly as talented as Jaco, so I wound up with a neck so bowed you could shoot arrows with it. So I ordered a new neck and I figured while I was at it, I would get a new nut, tuners and bridge, too. Simple, but effective.

Registering in with my 2003 MIM J in sage green. First fretless, third bass, great deal- $250 CAD used. Hopefully a new bridge, pickups, and Warmoth neck soon, but that'll come in time.
