I always post pics of my SR800's and my ATK, and forget to post my SR300:

srx500... anyone has one? I'm trying to upgrade the sound... any recommendations? want to make it sound bigger, rounder and bold but still can growl if I want it to. Should go with a pickup upgrade or electronics (pre)??? I'm using a bbe bmax preamp atm if that would be any help...

thanx

Based upon having tried that pre in other basses, it's not very good. I'd try changing that first (suggestion = Aguilar) and then pickups.

Is this for real? What sort of Warwicks were you playing - Rockbass by any chance or the real deal? I'm very curious 'cause that would be the first time I'm hearing about someone switching from Warwick to Ibanez :D:eek::eyebrow::D

Riiight. Because Warwicks are so awesome. Sure. Anyway, I switched from Musicman to Ibanez, but don't read this post unless you have 9-1-1 on your speed dial.:D

I love this Bass, I have been told that it was one of the Ibanez lawsuit Basses, I'm not sure personally!

Awesome bass man. I have been playing a TR-505 Espressionist since about '96. I love mine but haven't come across too many 4-bangers. I had no idea that it was a "lawsuit bass". thats kinda cool. What color is that supposed to be?

It's the Ivory from '96, it has yellowed quite a bit over the years, when you remove the pickguard you can see the original Ivory, it is nice!

Thanks for the complements guy's!:bassist:

I LOVE my Warwick thumb, but it is an older (1988) instrument that has great sentimental (sp?) value to me. That is why my TR-505 gets WAY more action than my Wick. Plus its a lil bit lighter. ha

Here's a quick shot of "The Puprple Express" and "Warren" together.

OMG, doesn't anybody read my posts?

It's a pretty bass, but it's not a lawsuit bass. Lawsuit Ibanezes are the ones built in the mid-seventies that look almost exactly like the Fenders, Rickenbackers and Gibsons that they were copying. Your bass was made in the mid-nineties, and doesn't copy any other design.
