here's the latest..a 90 something Music-YO Striker 422SL

It was delivered today so I'll pick it up and jam on it as-is, then it will be time to flip the strings and install one of my Jackson preamps in it

since it has a string tree, I assume it has a plastic nut.... I'm gonna have to post in the "ups/fedex what's on the way" or whatever that thread is called shortly. You should see me fumbling around on the 422 with the e on top...no videos yet, but you can count on at least one with the strings on correctly before I flip both units.

( no you won't see me jamming ELP on a non-flipped unit just yet )

nice, i get my XL7 on saturday. It will make a very good beater bar gig bass, because i try not to bang my Forums around too much.... and i can mod my XL7 with out hurting its already non existent resale value.

I'll still send you a jackson preamp to play with since your gonna use it as a beater, you wont care about cutting a battery box hole in the back and not put it under the pickguard.

no I didn't. I thought a guy who works here with us was gonna fix it...it is still sitting on my desk ( you can see how much I care about that thing )... maybe I should just box it up already eh?

we got out early for work and went and I picked up the F3L.


..pretty much what I remembered it felt like ( heavy ), and played like and sounded like with the goofy B/T/V/V-hazlab. The input jack is toast, but it still works so I was able to jam on it today. It has some scratches on the back so it was played, but nothing thru the clear so I'm happy and will eventually flip the strings around as soon as I buy a couple righty nuts cause I still need one for the Striker.

Since it is rare, it's a keeper, and will probably be used on the stage in 2011 alongside my Charvel

the hazlab has lefthanded pots, and the TR cover is correct for a lefty

Are they that rare? I mean, obviously it's not very different from a Spector NS2, but I used to see them on ebay every now and then.
