Stomping Room Only is a fantastic live disc. Highly recommend it! Bass is very clear and present in the mix. Every song is excellent! I listened to it for about 6 months straight when I bought it a few years ago. I believe it was '75-'76 era concerts. Very high quality stuff!!

Also, check our Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam DVD from '75. MTB comes on stage and does 24 hours and Thrill is gone.. He plays an Olympic White P with maple neck. I have loved that combo ever since seeing it on that DVD. I now own one!

I just watched a live version of 'Cowboy' from 1974 on Youtube. It looked like a Kubicki ExFactor bass in the video. Was that Tommy?

No, that was Tim Lawter. At the time of that video, only Doug Gray (vocalist), and Jerry Eubanks (flute) were the remaining original members.

I love MTB and tommy's playing, and I was so lucky to be at that Long Island concert. Seen them many times through the years. I never knew about that thumb thing, weird, the whole family played that way. But what talents, as song writers and players. They were so unique, and rocked their asses off!!!

I read they always had exceptional fan response in the New England area back in the day. Heck, they were always sold out in the upper Midwest also.

Toy Caldwell was a great songwriter, also.
