The Les Paul Twins

So mid day it occurred to me that your use of 'lame' was yet another pun bridging off 'hobbled' - I don't know that to be a fact but FTR, no malicious intent was implied in my riffing off of a guitar made from a crutch. (as in, not mocking those needing assistance) This is what I referred to as a certain acceptance of crassness or 'bad taste' related to puns in general. At the very best word play can be clever, but even excessive cleverness is pretty... lame. ;)
That's why it took me so long to come up with it. I knew it needed a retort(not "tort"), but, like Martin, I had to Mull it over.:smug:

You're a poet and don't know it - it's 'cause of your big feet that gives you greater understanding. <(if this isn't as old as the hills, I don't know what is!)

Okay, hobble and lame were solid, but now you guys are taking this too far. There are other forms of humor out there, no need to use puns as a crutch.
Many years ago a court jester was put in the dungeon for his"bad"puns and told he would not be released until he came up with a pun to fit his situation. As he was being locked up, he said"O-pun the door":smug:
