The little things…

This will sound silly...which hopefully means it qualifies here.

A few years ago changed out all the lights on my first floor for LED. Kitchen has 10 ceiling cans then various other bulb types throughout the other rooms. I bought the cheap LED that are color changing. So now I can sync all the lights in first floor to a certain color or have them cycle through all colors at different rates.

When I turn on the colors, I immediately smile. It's silly and corny, and I love it.

All the animals in my yard saying, "Hi!" as they come or go by.
Deer, goats, chickens, humming birds...

Nothing better than coming outside and a flock of chickens come running and occasionally flapping their wings trying to fly in excitement coming towards you from across the way.
You can hear "Ride of the Valkyries" in your head.

Oink, oink, moo, moo. :woot:
Eggs, eggs? At $4+ a dozen, anything they lay in your yard...

- Looking at watercolor paintings. How do people make something so pretty? I tried once and just made a mess. I think they’re wizards.

Taking a beginner watercolor class.

Best thing I ever did artistically and for my sense of being.
Learn the secret of -less is more-, paint a bit, enjoy the journey and maybe not feel so low.

Every Christmas Mrs. OGB drags out the winter scene watercolor I painted in my class more than 35 years ago. Makes me smile.

Regardless, hope things pick up for you. If it gets too bad, please ask someone for help.

Or, how to prevent Brain Cloud.

I like this comment in particular. We're all broken in one way or another. No one has it all going on, despite what appearances may say to us.
There's no shame in asking for a hand, an ear, a shoulder, a whatever. Most humans are good natured folks who enjoy helping another fellow human endure or overcome an obstacle in life.

Well for one thing, seeing you post here. It's been awhile and I wasn't sure if we should be worried or not

Thanks. <3
Ah, you know me. I'm just the queen of Sad Girl Mountain and as much as the seasons change I'll always find a way to disappear up my own misery-hole, but I'm surviving.

Recently I actually managed to stop *pretending* to be musical and actually put out an EP, so there's been some progress!

Job situation's forever chaos, living situation's recently the same, but I'm hardly hopeless. Every facet of this mess has every capacity to get better, and moreso than it does to get worse. I'll make it.

Thanks for caring. You're lovely.

Silly yet wonderful. I’ve used LEDs in my classrooms the last few years, and never get tired of changing the vibe. Some days, the room just needs to be purple for a spell while we all just chill out a bit.

I’m attending a watercolor session at my school’s mindfulness club tomorrow, which I’m excited and nervous about. Incidentally I’ve been doing a lot of acrylic painting at my desk, but I feel like that’s a much more forgiving medium. I’ve taken especially fondly to painting 2x2” canvases, gluing magnets to the back of them, and sneaking them onto various surfaces of other teachers’ classrooms. It amuses me terribly.
