The longest song ending ever?

To be honest, I couldn't make it through the first 3 minutes without boredom setting in, but I appreciate the hilarity of the idea (and it's great way to pad out your live set).

Flippin' comedy genius putting a fade out at the end.

Bravo!
You got it! One of their other CDs is fairly short... The untitled last song is a repeat of the entire album, lol.

*User took prescribed medication beforehand without knowledge of upcoming challenge, therefore Barry Bonds asterisk. Result may have been due to performance enhancers. General Amusement around 3.5 minute mark, then lull. 6 minute mark it became WAY more funny than originally thought possible. Lull again. Became hilarious around at 8:48 mark. Full respect for the band started around 10:38 based on sheer commitment to idea. Full respect for studio engineers and mixers set in at around 12:31. Full respect for string manufacturers set in at around 14:07. Loss of respect for self started at 15:29 because of spending life energy doing this. Self editor kicked in at around 17:05 reminding self of the need to have unbridled fun in life at times. Self respect returned at around 17:47. Realization at 18:12 that main guy drinking a "soda" in video thumbnail may have had a cast on his left arm for good reasons...and may have also needed some pain relief for good reasons. 21:44 haphazardly slightly overstretched causing a balance issue in my chair that was corrected...proceeded with mission to pluck A string on just out of reach guitar just to see if I really did know the note. I did as it turns out. As fade out occurred....stood up with hands outstretched making fists. Fists of sheer victory. Fists of overcoming.

Thanks OP.

Supersuckers cover of Razamanaz. The song is 24 minutes long. Out of that, the ending starts around the 3 minute mark. Can you listen to the entire 24 minutes without going insane? I can, lol.

The Album version (studio) of Alice's Restaurant was 18 minutes and 20-seconds. Below is a 24-minute and 6-second live version:

I'm not a classic rock guy, and I don't dislike the genre, but when I was in my 20's, I worked with a lot of older guys (I'm their age now) and ended listening to a lot 70's rock. Hearing the end of Grand Funk Railroad's "Closer to Home," combined with the fact that I hated that job made me very irritable. My not-soon-enough ending runner-up would be ELP's "Lucky Man" and the synth solo ending. Reminded of me when I got my first Casio keyboard with a pitch bend.

Maybe not the longest but I always think of this song when a long ending for a song is brought up. Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin with it's 110 Na's. For a 3:55 song it does seem to go on a bit. :D

For a real shot at this I would submit Marillion's Misplaced Childhood, the entire album. Each song doesn't really end, it segues into the next musically. Quite brilliantly, really.
