Damn! That one's almost TOO good. You can barely tell it's chopped.
BTW, I've been playing with color curves! I'm still trying to understand what's going on but wow, it's far superior to RGB balance!

Whoa....at first I didn't even realize that this was a chop of me! I didn't even pay attention to the face....dang! This is ridiculously good. Looks like you even worked Don Cheadle in there too 
Curves is the tool to use for color. I also use color balance for adjusting yellow. The other thing to help make it look realist is to put noise into the image. The original photo has a grain in it so the real trick is getting the grain right. Sometimes I ad that to a separate layer with a mask the same size as the face. Then often that layer will need a curves adjustment.

Looks like you've been playing around with he curve tool.
I definitely try curve before I try RGB balance. Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, I revert back to RGB balance but I'm starting to figure it out.
