thought about having mike do that as well. but i would have to have him put it into a regular head box since i don't do racks anymore. plus i'm planning around the vt deluxe now. and since i can do the majority of my gigs with a b-15 (though i often choose not to), i thought the power block would be inexpensive and perfect for my needs in a backup rig, whereas i thought my lmii was overkill, especially with a vt deluxe in front of it.

we'll see in a few days...

I looked up Tripath Technology, and their website is gone..... All the google hits are DIY audio stuff, and the one link through to the company I found was from 2008, with a dead site linked.

I had heard the company went broke, and the apparent lack of a website seems to confirm that. So the "class-T" stuff may be a think of the past.

Tripath is bankrupt.
Cirrus Logic bought their IP.
Cirrus can license the chip designs out.
I'm sure there's many foundries can make the chips.
Plus there's probably a big stash of old chips around.

Haven't used my CPB much lately, but thinking about the success of the GB Shuttles, the Mark Bass Little Mark and the Ibanez Promethean with tiny, loud bass systems, I am getting the itch to try to come up with a "poor man's" version.
My attempts at making my own small speaker cabinet have not turned out like I hoped and now I have two blown bass speakers and don't have the desire to try again right now.
So what I am hoping is that someone here has found a good, small bass cab that works well with the Crate Power Block.
I am thinking optimally a 1X10 with enough low response to sound good with a 5 string.
Don't want to spend a fortune either. Any recommendations?
(I really have GAS for an Ibanez Promethean, which looks gorgeous in real life. Saw one at the local Ken Stanton Music last weekend. They even have it for $50 less than Guitar Center and Musician's Friend. But even at $650, that is more than I feel comfortable with spending right now.)
