An interesting side note: when I first upload these, someone is so vigilant that even if I have only a handful of views, I already have at least one dislike. Sometimes, on the first day, I have as many as three. But once one of my vids gets to thousands of views, I generally have a percentage of likes to dislikes from 75-95%. So as hard as someone is working to make me feel bad, I think they are adding to my views, and doing NO damage to my ego, my channel, my life, or really anything.
So to my haters: THANKS! Have a nice day, and remember, I'm very likely much happier than you. I've never even clicked the thumbs down on a YouTube video.

I haven't visited this thread in a while...I think you did a great job with this song! You did especially well with the softer, more nuanced parts, and when you needed to project more, it was very heartfelt. That last "ease your mind" part was powerful.
Just be careful not to sing ahead of the tempo. Sometimes, even singing a little behind the beat (like jazz musicians playing behind the beat) can be effective. Just lay back a little and let the music come to you, especially on a slow song like this.
Do you do all the music in these videos yourself, or do you use any pre-recorded tracks?
Both. I sometimes use disassembled pre-recorded tracks; I sometimes record my own. I often play bass, keyboards, keyboard horns and other such instruments; guitar and harmonica. I never play drums, not having any. I often use sampled drums; cut up drums; drum machines; you name it. I almost never play lead guitar, unless the part is very very simple.

I've never really listened to that song before...the bassline is really cool!
