The most annoying sounds.

A female voice uttering "We need to talk"

Most all women say that and it pisses the hell outta me. It is always going to be about your shortcomings, you're not entertaining her enough, you have an attitude (did not, not until you said I did---NOW I have a hell of an attitude), you've changed/NOT changed---

I kicked 2 girlfriends out of my life because of that phrase. Now married for lo' these many years (24), I still hear those words at times and sometimes the talk lasts about 1 minute--just long enough for the reverberation of the slamming door to end.

The talk they want is rarely worthwhile, usually just emo based crap which you cannot afford to indulge or it will never end. Not saying I am a Neanderthal, but I have little patience with indulgent emo crap.

In fact there are two 4-word phrases I taught my boys about. My little speech went like this:

As you grow up and deal with women on a girlfriend or wife basis you will encounter the "4 and 4" thing:

1. There will be four words, son, that you will hate hearing from a female: "We need to talk."

2. There will be four words, son, you will want to say, but will not if you are a gentleman: "Shut the f*** up."

1. Brag Rap
2. Autotune
3. Young female emo singers who make sure the microphone picks up their butthurt angst in their breaths between phrases
4. "Shout down" radio/TV hosts
5. Politicians faking sincerity and/or moral outrage
6. Sorority girls who whistle when they pronounce the letter "S"
7. Commercials of any kind on TV

3. Young female emo singers who make sure the microphone picks up their butthurt angst in their breaths between phrases
+1 for days! I LOLed on this one. I wish these singers would just go to therapy, or let it all out in a diary. That way, we wouldn't have to be subjected to their "butthurt angst" (very well put, BTW).

+1

I hate that so much it's way past anything sane. I've left restaurants without eating my meal simply because I can hear some geezer chewing in the next table. I try to block it but man, after a minute it's all I hear no matter what I do. Now I always have an mp3 player with me.

And it gets worse. Chewing gum. I've had clients that while I try to talk with them, chew gum with their mouth open. Makes me wan't to punch their teeth in. And I know it's stupid, but I can't get past it, it's just too damn disgusting.

I too really hate the sound (and sight) of people chewing with their mouth open. It's so disgusting!
