I was thinking recently of what single box I own that works for everything Bass that I do.
My conclusion is that it's the 3 Leaf Audio Enabler. It's a Preamp, DI, Practice Amp that literally
has everything you'd need for Double Bass or Electric Bass. Take a look.

Now granted, it's not a microphone preamp, it just works for either a DB with a Pickup
or a EB. it has an entire suite of inputs and outputs for practice and playing through a powered
speaker. The EQ can be bypassed, it uses a standard 9volt wall wart, no batteries inside. While
I have Headway EDB/2 and a Grace Designs Felix, the 3Leaf Audio Enabler is a "set it and forget it"
multi tool preamp. Only made obvious that they are now selling for more used than they originally
cost new.

Earl,
No unfortunately it does not, but with the Ehrlund EAP that doesn’t seem to be an issue. Of course it’s my backup preamp used
mostly for Electric Bass, but it works very incredibly well for Double Bass as well. The tone controls are very sensitive, so they cut lows as well as
boost. Not ideal, but very useful.

Sweet box!

Can you use the Aux in to blend two pickups together? Like a bridge wing and a clicky for instance

I never tried that but I've used it with play alongs so it will accept any 1/4 signal, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
Just remember, Spencer Doren (3Leaf Audio) no longer builds the Enabler, so they're only available on the used market. There
is one on Reverb right now, their asking $500.00 for it. I payed considerably less than that for my brand new one in 2015 @$400.00

You would probably need a second preamp/buffer before the aux in. Usually aux jacks have a very low impedance, which will not work well with a piezo. Something as simple as an EQ pedal with a 1 Meg-Ohm or greater input impedance could work. Or even a pedal with a buffered bypass.

We’ll, in my case it’s a one and done preamp. If I wan’t or need a HPF or Notch I’ll use the Grace Felix (Headway EDB/2 H.E.backup ) If you’re looking
for those controls there are better choices. The Enabler works just fine with a very sensitive 3 Band EQ featuring a Midrange Shift and Bass boost
