The Muckelroy Bass Club Part 1 (It's high time!)

Looks beautiful too! What are the woods?

Bolivian rosewood top and fretboard. Swamp ash body, IIRC.
The neck i believe is 3 piece maple with a bloodwood stripe down the center.

Just spoke to Brady today about bass number 2. Gonna finalize things Monday when I put down some $.

I have had numbers 2 and 3 in the works. I was recently bitten by the bug again to commision build number 4. I will officially be in awesome bass overload mode when they arrive.

Almost a full fledged member.

Beautiful body shape. Is this HMC shape?

Cool!

Brady told me the Charger32 is actually an Ensemble with a shorter horn to accommodate the shorter 32" scale. So, was this a Charger32 shape or an actual Ensemble?

I'm not sure about that and I wondered the same thing as well. When I said I wanted a 5 string 32 inch he just asked what shape. He will make the bass to your specifications for sure. I won't bore everybody with the details but that bass was customized quite a bit.

Thanks for the info. I asked because I absolutely love that shape. Looks so right. Hmm... would want to join the club but as always, need to get the funds right :D

Oh my god!! These are some of the most beautiful basses I've ever seen. Thank you for turning me on to this guy. Every one is a work of art and absolutely stunning. Congrats to you guys

Glad I could help. Brady has a great thing going, and if you ever talk to him it is very clear that he loves what he does.

I tell him how amazed I am with my Muckelroy bass just about every time I play it. The thing blows me away every time!

#2: 6 string fretted Single-cut HMC (just like my fretless), 34" scale, set neck, alder body, avodire top, 5 piece neck (rock maple, mahogany stringers, and a flame maple center), Birdseye maple fretboard with abalone block inlays, Muckelroy pre and either Reed James Vintage Vibe or Delano JSBC pickups.

#3: 5 string fretted Solo model piccolo bass (with an extra nut for standard strings), 32" scale bolt-on neck, swamp ash body, paduk top, Wenge fretboard, 13 piece Wenge, maple, and paduk neck, Muckelroy preamp, and Aguilar DCB pickups.

#4: 5 string fretted Bernal model, 34" scale bolt-on neck, mahogany body, maple fretboard, one piece maple neck, passive electronics and Aguilar 5P/J-HC pickups.

I went Muckin' crazy!

EDIT: I don't know if I'll ever be able to convince my wife to let me buy another bass, but I doubt I will ever need one.

:)
