Greetings Talkbass! I wanted to start a group on here to help spread the word about a wonderful luthier down here in Texas named Brady Muckelroy. Many people may know him from his work as one heck of a bassist, but perhaps you didn't know that he is building some of the finest custom basses these eyes have ever seen. To have a player of his caliber hand crafting instruments is really something special. When I approached Brady about my first build, I already had another builder (I won't name names) in mind. A friend posted a picture on Facebook of a bass built by Brady that he purchased, and it was beautiful. This complicated things. I at least wanted to have a conversation with Brady before I went with the builder I was planning on going with originally. Fortunately one conversation was all it took. I knew from Jump Street that Brady was the guy for this particular instrument. I could tell immediately that is was not just another job for him, but that he genuinely cared about getting the right instrument in my hands and he was actually excited about the build. With Brady you get a direct line to the actual person building your bass, frequent build update pics via text message , and a master craftsman that genuinely cares about you. If you are in the market for a custom build he can be reached: By phone at 512-618-1781 On the webs at www.bradybass.com and on Facebook For those who already have the priveledge of owning one of these fantastic instruments, let's get the word out about this great little (He's actually quite tall) luthier down in Texas. The specs on my build are: 34" scale 6 String Neck-Thru Singlecut HMC Bodystyle Lined Fretless Lacewood Fingerboard Walnut Body 7 Piece Maple neck with a Bloodwood center and Wenge and Maple stringers Buckeye Burl Top with a Birdseye Maple cap over the neck Reed James Custom AL-NEO humbuckers 18v Muckelroy preamp (Volume, Blend, Passive tone (Active/Passive push/pull), 3 band EQ, and a Series/Parallel switch for each pickup) Black Hipshot Hardware Pics to follow in the next post... (BTW, these are not all of the pics that I was sent throughout the process, these were just the ones on Brady's Facebook. I am at work and won't be able to add the others until I get home.) P.S. I will go ahead and take #2 and leave #1 for Brady

Hi Jeff! This club is long overdue. I love my 4 string Ensemble. Brady puts his heart and soul into every build. Cheers, Jim
That's a fine looking Muck you have there! I love when soundmen come up to me and tell me it is the best sounding bass they have EVER heard. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! Welcome aboard, you may have #3.
Very nice! Is that an Ambrosia Maple top? I have a 32" Solo 5'er on order (Piccolo Bass), and a fretted HMC 6'er as well. I'm trying to catch up with David Piggott.
This one has my name on it. One of his NAMM pieces. Needless to say, I'm very excited about this 5 string solo.
I am in! Here is a link to my build thread. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/custom-medium-scale-build-muckelroy-content-969702/

So apparently my luck has turned, because I won Brady's first raffle! Super Stoked!!! My first Muck is a Swiss Army knife of tones, this one I am gonna keep simple with a single passive P style pickup. I'll post pics as they roll in!
That is a awesome 3rdcurve. I drug my feet getting my entry in, and did not get it done. One thing is for sure, you are going to have at least 2 awesome basses when you get your next Muck. Does your first one have the AL-Neo pickups?
