The new Sire Z3

Other than picking up and noodling an EB and their intra-clones in a music shop, I never actually played one, but I would love to A/B them for their neck performance. The Sub’s fret work always seemed sub-par and from what I’ve read, the Sire necks are supposed to be quite fine. Competition is a good thing. Maybe, it’ll inspire EB Corporate to address their QC issues.

There have been a lot of Ray imitators to come and go and I've owned several along with my 95 SR5. None have measured up so far. I'll probably end up with a Z7-5. We will see if it is a contender or just another pretender.

I have owned a couple of stingrays and I liked the 2 band pre better than the 3 band because the mids were just right and you could not change them. The 3 band just did not sound right to me and I could never get it to sound like the 2 band so off it went.

Kind of interesting... I'd like to see and try one in the wild.

I would imagine any instrument brought to NAMM for demo purposes would be hand picked and very well set up.

Fact is, I think this bass is a disaster design-wise. But that’s MY opinion and I’m entitled to it.

Yeah, I and others have experienced this speech inhibiting practice. It’s actually quite disturbing and unsettling on so many levels.

Cease and desist coming from Sterling Ball shortly. EBMM has a trademark on the 3+1 headstock. They shouldn't, but they do.

i think they have trademarked the term "3+1" in reference to bass guitar headstocks, not the configuration. See the LEH basses here: NAMM 2024 Bass Gear: Day 2

Bulletin: Sire Z-bird to be released just in time for Christmas!

I’m already starting to pick some carrots for the thread about whether the Z3 sounds like a StingRay, sounds better than a StingRay, StingRays are overpriced or Leo Fender used a time machine to travel to NAMM 2024 where he got the idea for the StingRay.

Me gusta y no me gusta.
Seguramente la calidad precio respecto a otras marcas es su punto a favor. Esa bocina corta estilo Lakland no combinaba con ese bajo. Es mi opinión. pero seguro que suena genial.

Nah, not really…

Those practices take place because the site is privately owned and maintained. They determine what will be or not be allowed to be posted. Right or wrong in the user’s minds, that’s how it is.

Which is perfectly fine in the big picture.

Don’t like their practices? Don’t participate.
