I wanted the Fallout tribute but got the Squier Vintage Mustang. It has a great neck. I put in Curtis Novak Fat mustang pickups and some hipshot tuners. It is really a good stage bass now for when my arthritis starts to act up. I am concerned about the Fallout weight. The ones Sweetwater shows weigh as much as my G&L L2000 US made, 9.3 lbs. That seems like a bit much for a shorty. Are they doing this for balance or what?

I can confirm that the Fallout is heavy, so plan on wide strap. The contours of the body are much more comfortable than, for example, my Tele. Mine does not neck dive, but it feels "neutral", rather than biased toward the tail like most electric guitars.
