The Official Charvel/Jackson Club!

Hey guys. I ordered myself a Jackson Cbxnt IV metallic blue model, like 3 weeks ago or so. The guy from my local guitar shop told me that he placed the order but because of shipping and stuff it will only arrive in 3 to 4 weeks. Fine, not a problem. Today I got a call from the shop and they've told me that Jackson discountinued this particular line of basses and they can't find any in stock at either one of their distributors. Does anyone know anything about these basses being discontinued?

Does this count?

I remember that beach scene from years ago and have a couple pictures of it still back when it was listed on ebay :) :)
Cool! Im guessing that is around 2010 or so?

I actually nowadays know the story of how The Beach became The Beach!
Dweezil green Jackson strat, and my bass player's custom ordered Jackson soloist style neck-thru bass - he sent his surf shorts to Jackson and asked them to take the graphics from his shorts and use them on the bass :rotflmao

Black Cherry on the Concert V is a funny one. First I hated it (cant choose colours when buying used...) but I have started to love it. Transfers from metallic brown to purple in different light. I would really want a second one but those are kind of rare ish in Europe.

Do you remember this too? '89 Concert Custom

Sadly not with me anymore. Things in life happened and was forced to sell. Trying to find out who has it now (and hopefully buy it back)

great story as they made so many paint scenes for so many of these things back then. It looks familiar, and somewhere in the photobucket archives it may be in there... ( if it is not, then it will now since you posted a great picture of it )

I had a white concert-V but also had a blackcherry 3b so I know what you mean about sometimes ugly brown in the "correct" light...lol

I was chatting with a guy in russia who had a couple japanese only charvels and to my surprise he actually has a Futura-V
Wow! That thing looks monsterous. I guess its the narrowish body with five strings. I like it! He didn't happen to have a TBX for sale? :D

By the way Charvel staff must have seen your explorer a few pages back since they had this at NAMM

What's up, everyone. I just got this bass today. I ordered it from a Japanese music shop on reverb. I was a bit skeptic at first because it was one of those ones that had like 5 identical listings on Ebay from different sellers. However, the reverb seller had excellent ratings and it was listed at a great price with free shipping. So, why not?

The bass shipped from Japan super fast and was packaged really well. The seller I bought it from listed it as a custom "Soloist" model, with no indication of the year, though some of the sketchy ebay listings listed it as being a 92.

The serial number is J200168, can anyone tell me anything about what year this really might be, and is it actually just a custom Concert bass?

Oh, and yes, it does sound and feel amazing. It does have a few minor scratches but it looks super clean and almost looks like it's been sitting in it's case for years.
