Hi cliffem. Got a question for you. i have a chance to trade a stingray slo special for what is said to be a super rare jackson kelly KBX bass. He wants $897.00 to but it out right. Is the kbx a lowend jackson bass? it is a 2002 model. I want the kelly but gut tells me its not a fair trade. what do you think?
I'm not to familiar with that model so I did a quick search on it and all I found one that was selling a while ago for 500$ but I'm pretty sure it's not a low end bass if that helps..
So if you had a stingray slo special you wouldnt do a fair swap? and by the way i have the dave cbx and my tone has never been better. i love emgs! yes this has duncan designed pickups and it is the one on e bay. so wouldnt be a fair trade even this biend rare as he says?
sure it would be a fair trade if you swapped him bass for bass AND he gave you 500 cash....
I didn't say the kelly would be junk..it is not. Far from it.
If you like the kelly and it is worth it to you then sure do it.
Neither of the 2 are one of a kinds but the kelly is rare.
I have had pretty much every MIJ-Jackson they ever made. For me If I had a SLO, and someone asked me to trade even, I would have done it without even asking anyone here or anywhere else because it is an old Jackson. That would also depend on how much I paid for the Ray in the first place.
hi guys. just bought a concert ex in the stone finish. bought one new ages ago and lucky to find it again. if anyone knows how rare is the stone finish and how expensive is it to convert a passive to active and does emg make just pickups for passive basses?
eeeewwwww stone ....haha j/k it is not rare for collectors purposes, but they didnt make too many in that paintjob, that's for sure.
anyway yes you can put a preamp of your choice in there using the OEM pickups just used a stacked knob for b/t and the other 2 would be vol/blend still.
