Oh My. What's the story behind those two?

I am so happy you asked. The sunburst is a 1974 that I bought in the late 80s for $250! That was not a big deal back then. The LPB one is a more recent purchase that I paid a tad bit more for. I bought it off of ebay only to receive it with a neck that was totally shot. I traded a couple of lesser instruments to a friend for the 76 precision neck figuring that with an A width nut, it is essentially a Jazz neck. To shorten the story, I recently put it on the LPB Jazz and it seems to sound better every day! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, there is a new Cobelens coming and my current bass will return to the luthier. That will take a while, though. They told me they're aiming to have it finished around Christmas.
