Yeah me too. I don't buy something new until I've sold something else, or do a trade. I've had 23 different basses in the past 2 years, and there are a couple in there I wish I'd kept, but for the most part something about them just didn't fit me, so the search went on.
But thats the exact opposite.....
I still have every instrument I've owned, acquire without sacrifice.
Oh yeah, well I wouldn't call it a sacrifice if I don't like the bass. Why keep it if there's something about it you don't like? Then it becomes just collecting. I want to be able to use what I have, not just have it and let it sit in a corner.

This is how I feel about my first bass but I don't have the balls to get rid of it
Neither would I, really, anyway, I've honestly not yet bought a bass I've disliked enough to sell it, one or two have necks that were too chunky, sandpaper fixed that right up.
