what's up with the glazed donut? more info plz.

The white under the finish comes from 'fogging' beneath the clear finish. It is seen as a 'flaw'. I've seen a few like that, and you can't really get rid of it without refinishing.

The white changes with the temperature/moisture, it's like I've got my own chameleon bass

that's pretty cool. they should get that kind of thing intentionally going on an instrument - sorta like the t-shirts that change color when you get sweat in them heh.

Custom US G&L ASAT. Maple Neck with a Rosewood board.

This bass means a lot, not only is it a top quality insturment but it marks a new chapter with music and myself. I never loved playing music more than when I was playing in High School.

One of the few things keeping me alive.

That's not the paint believe it or not! That's just how it came out when we painted with light. Have you ever heard of that? It would be neat to have my bass painted like that though.

A lot of people don't like EMG's, find them too modern, or clean, not traditional sounding enough.

It's not my taste in sound. Especially for a fretless, I think they sound too bright and too modern.
I don't want to spoil your party It looks awesome and it's great of you like the sound! I wonder how the EMG's sound in your bass!
