That Ampeg stack is adorable. How does it sound?

IMO a pretty sweet vintage tone with both Fenders (you can find quite a bit of discussion on the thing around here). And its perfect for my current needs (three-piece. songwriterish indie-rock...of sorts. small venues.) Using the micro with a single cab does set clear limits to volume though...but i didn't need to go that far yet (drummer has a pretty small kit and the third guy's guitar amp can be seen to the left of my P-Bass.

Plus it looks really great and is pretty light (sth. around 35-40 lbs.). I have to admit that I wanted it the minute I saw it. Good thing it also sounds good.

I had a great day today. Got a nice stretch of time to mod my NTM (New To Me) P bass. What started as a take-it-apart-to-check-it session turned into a what the hell, spur of the moment input/pickguard mod. Yeah, it looks rough, but I'm the original "I bought it because I like it the way it is" guy, so to even do this much is a huge step for me.
Still planning on repainting.

I'm still trying to figure out who made it. Does this symbol mean anything to anybody?

Here's a quick clip of that DarkStar equipped Artcore

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9305200

You can see how well it responds to where you play on the bass. The first bit is full volume / full tone. The last part is with the tone rolled all the way off.

Its really awesome, it has a lot of punch yet retains a little bit of upright low mids, darkstars really are one of the best pickups out there!

I'm the proud Papa of 6 (for now):hyper:
From left to right: Breedlove ABJ 250 acoustic (duh), Douglas WPB-955T 5 string (just recieved in mail 2day:)) Fender 70's (with added bridge cover) SX Ursa 3 RN 3TS Fretless (great sound for around $100, & I don't mind the headstock), White Chocolate Thunder 4 string (home build with active EMG's) Faith Bass (another home build with Di Marizios I got off Ebay)
