Don't know if I posted the first two pictures already in some previous version of this thread, but for the sake of completion I'll post them anyway. In order of acquisition:
Squier Vintage Modified P-bass: my first bass, sold it about a year ago and quite frankly I still miss it

And I like the look of yours better...
I know, my Jake can come very close of a good P-bass tone, but it's just not the same as the real deal. Those VM Squiers are stunningly good instruments for the money. Mine doesn't get played that much, however, it's the one I grab when I need to figure out a groove or something quickly, but other than that I rarely play it.

That's my pride and joy, my lovely Maruszczyk custom Frog 6.

Time to show off my recently finished latest build!
It's my second build and it will be my main personal bass. I am currently in the process of fine tuning it.
The bass, named after my favorite local jazz club and completely designed and built by me, has a swamp ash body with a flamed maple top, separated by a wenge accent veneer. The top is dyed red, as is the face of the headstock, which has a matching wenge and maple veneer. The neck is made from hard rock maple and it has a bound macassar ebony fretboard with pearl position markers. All wood is finished with a protective satin poly varnish for a smooth and thin feel, while maintaining the character of the wood. Hardware is all Hipshot and Gotoh. The Delano JMVC 5 FE set gives it both its funky appearance and its great warm but clean sound with its massive pole pieces. The neck has a dual action truss rod and two carbon fiber reinforcements; this makes for a highly adjustable and very rigid neck which is great for such a wide spaced fiver. The electronic circuit is passive, with master, blend and tone controls. I installed a set of DR MM5-45 Fat Beams to bring it alive. It sounds and plays just superb.
