Fender Modern Player Jazz - Love this bass - it's my main player.

All stock, cosmetic mods only (gloss white pickguard and faux MOP inlays).

Tuned BEAD, strung w/D'addario ProSteels, can dial in any tone I need.

Can't believe how cheap this bass was...maybe I got lucky, but this Chinese Fender absolutely smokes the MIM Fenders I've previously owned in terms of tone and playability.

As you will see, it's far from perfect, and definitely shows its age from time on the road. I've been thinking about taking down the neck a bit (it's pretty burly) and refinishing with oil, as the varnish gets pretty sticky.

I really like this bass.

Maple/Purple Heart/Maple wedge neck with Wenge stringers

Thanks. I've had LOTS of high end basses, actually I've had 4 Roscoes alone, but this bass is something else! Weighs nothing, sounds huge, a joy to play. I can't fault it.
