The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

It's been a while since I shared any pics of my basses so here's the most updated collection of my mostly EBMM basses.

From L to R:
- StingRay Special HH Pink Champagne Sparkle
- StingRay Special H Fretless (I can't remember what they call that burst)
- StingRay Special 5 H Ginger Burst

- Homemade Kit Jazz
- Cutlass Sea Foam Sparkle
- StingRay Special H Plumkin

I am still on the lookout to make some changes but pretty content with all of the above. I clearly enjoy the active StingRay sound the most, but those 2 passive basses in the 2nd photo are great. The jazz that I put together turned out fantastic and compares favourable to most of the Fender jazzes I have played in stores. It does have the custom 60's Fender jazz pickups in it though. I tried my best to finish the neck on the jazz like an EBMM with the tru-oil and gun stock wax for a very smooth feel.

Whoa! I think you have more P basses than I do, but some of my father's P basses live with me...I don't have a complete family shot, but I have a '51 Reissue, a 1970 refin, a 1975 parts P, a 1998 American Standard, a Highway 1, an Aerodyne P, a fretless Jazz Bass Special (really a P), a Mendel P, a Cowpoke, a P Lyte. And I'm still envious of your collection!

That IS a nice collection you have. Cowpokes are way cool and I've always been interested in the Mendel.

Each of my P's except the Squier Walnut Mocha 70's P on the far end have modded pick-ups in them. Yosemite, Bill Lawrence P-46, EMG Geezer in two basses, Duncan Area P Alnico II magnets (the undiscovered secret in the Duncan lineup) As well as upgraded tuners mostly GOTOH Res-O-Lite vintage reverse and bridges of all types Fender/Kluson hi-mass, Hipshot KickAss, Omega BAII clone, vintage Fender threaded saddle bridge. Yeah, I like to tinker.

My 08 Black 'n' Maple bass still has the stock bridge and tuners but added the EMG Geezer pick-up. That bass plays and sounds so good that I haven't done much to it except added LaBella flats. The ONLY strings that bass likes period and I've almost tried them all. LOL

Nice. I used to have a bass with a very similar finish but something about the lighting in your pic makes it look different. Here was my butterscotch StingRay:

That's a great colour - truly "butterscotch" ... and looks good with a maple neck.

I like it but would probably went with the ole Tort. It looks good on it and it's surely must be advantageous some how.

Do you know the weight of your ParaNormal ??
