The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

I've posted various iterations of this bass in the past, mostly as a PJ bass. I never used the bridge pickup and it was just kind of in the way. I was going to just lower it in to the body, but ended up pulling it.

I don't use the tone pot, so I ordered a new pickguard and after putting some duct tape on the bridge cavity I was good to go. I could have filled it, repainted the body, and made it look better...but that's a lot of work I don't feel like doing.

The bass is a Squier Affinity from 2015. It has a nice rosewood fretboard and an overall fantastic neck. This bass is my #1.

I honestly just don't need it. Most P basses don't come with a bridge pickup and everyone's pretty content with that. Same thing here.

I dig that. A lot. I might have gone the cover in the hole route but still I really like that and you did a good.

So nice. I would love to have that bass.
Hi Mr. blablas,

Wow! That quite a collection with some not-to-common instruments. Very nice.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
I've been making some pictures this afternoon of my twins for a topic over on BassChat, I might as well spam them here to. :smug:

Quite the collection, love em! If I understand correctly you designed and built them yourself as a hobby? If that’s the case you are a gifted craftsman.

Nice helmets. And I can see on the screen that you actually play with helmet on!
I guess this requires some extra skills, but appeals to me a lot!

Yes! If you feel like checking out my youtube channel, I do "Fancy 1 Man Band" Covers and wear the Helmets (and other masks) when I perform. I also do a Funk version of the Imperial March in a Mando helmet too....lol

I have also performed Live and in my Intro, ill wear a Helmet but its very hot and def not easy to see what im doing. Especially on a Fretless....lol

Thanks, it’s in really great shape. Probably an 8/10 for that age. Really great player too - a single owner bass played by a guy at church for 30 years straight, then packed away in his closet the last 20 ish years. Pretty special

The clique of 'granny driving her garaged '57 chevy to & from church used car deal is still out there! :)
