I love it! I'm not selling this one (plus, if I did my wife would kill me!). It's light (9.3 lbs for a 35" scale fiver!), comfortable, and in near mint condition! I'd say 9.5 out of 10 for physical condition.

The string spacing is a bit narrow (17.5mm) but I've been able to adjust it at the bridge so that the strings are all about 18mm apart. The range of tones is crazy!! There's no way to split the MM pickup like you can on your Lakland but I do have a mid frequency dial and active blending. My favorite setting is between the neck and both pickups - a nice full sound but still clear enough to cut. The 18v preamp has plenty of juice too! I've been keeping the volume on the bass low or it gets too loud.

I finally got around to adjusting the intonation (just in time to have everything perfect for a week before my new strings show up ). This bass intonates better than any I have ever owned! Yet another reason to love it!

Whatever else you think about it, it's a FANTASTIC colour .

The DYMO tape is a pretty "original" feature too - maybe Alembic could take a leaf out of your book and start labelling their 12-knobbed custom basses, to save confusion .

OK, this is the third time that I've posted a picture of my bass collection in these threads, over the past two years . This time, however, it could well be the last time (well, for a few months, until the GAS catches up again ).

Knowing that I feel most at home with Fender design basses (not very adventourous, am I? ), I've been trying really hard to build a selection of basses, which will enable me to get every single P Bass and Jazz Bass tone that I like, as well as the one and only StingRay tone, which makes all the others uninteresting to me. I have to say, I think I've done it !

From right to left:

Fender Custom Shop '55 P Bass "Relic" (strung with huge LaBella flats ).
Fender Custom Shop '61 P Bass "NOS" (strung with medium-heavy, nickel-plated rounds ).
Fender 1975 USA P Bass (strung with medium s/s rounds )
Fender 1976 Jazz Bass (strung with Marcus Miller sig s/s/ rounds )
Sadowsky Metro MV4 (strung with D'Addario medium rounds or sometimes Fender flats )
Status-necked Jazz Beast (strung with Fender nickel-plated rounds ).
Musicman 1977 StingRay (strung with the ultimate, heavy, nickel-plated DR Sunbeams )

Whatever you think of my taste in basses, I hope that you at least enjoy the photograph .

I found it in Dayton. The guy had it listed on eBay so I had to wait out that process, but it was just up the street from me

American Fender Jazz Bass with 1 piece swamp ash Warmoth body, clear gloss finish, Badass II bridge, Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings. Want to add Fender '75 RI pickups, a Hipshot D-tuner and black barrel knobs.

Gibson faded SG bass. It's got D'Addario EXL165 strings. Still want to add a Hipshot Supertone bridge and some new knobs. Maybe some new pickups so I can get a little better OD tone.

My first bass. Ibanez Soundgear. Just leans in the corner of my closet gathering lots of dust since I got better basses. With some new strings and a setup it might be a great bass. Not worth selling, would only get like $50 plus it has a little sentimental value.

My next bass will be a Musicman Stingray twin of my Jazz. 2-band I think too.
