I've been playing this for a year now. It's my first warwick, and my first 6 string.

Good morning (afternoon, evening) all,

I just replaced the stock chrome hardware with new black hardware on my '98 Corvette Standard Fretless, and would like some advice if possible. I did not find anything in a search - perhaps I did not look hard enough!

Any advice for setting up a Warwick? How high should the nut be (Just-a-Nut II)? Working the bridge? I raised the 4 height adjuster screws on the bridge before securing the two parts together. Then I raised the saddles until there was NO buzzing, even with digging in, all the way up the neck, and repeated for all 4 strings.

Any tips on intonation adjustment? I had trouble getting a normal screwdriver in there with the tailpiece & ended up using a very small slot-head screwdriver. Lastly - when setting the intonation, since there are no lines - should I line up exactly between the centers of the dots at the 12th "fret"? I used the side edge of my machinist's ruler so my fingers would not impact the intonation.

All of these results make the strings REALLY high - that's fine for digging in, but I can see this as being a bit uncomfortable. Granted, I like high action, but any recommendations would help!

P.S. I took pictures last night, but had to use the on-camera flash & they didn't look pretty, so I'll take more this weekend. It looks really tight.

same color as yours......an upgrade from my ole Dean Electro-Acoustic fretless 4 banger. Here's a question for ya.....where do you park your thumb? On the Dean, I used to park it on the side of the neck where it joined the body.....those $$ pickups are a wide load,Thumb seems to want to squeeze between the two pickups......kinda long reach for number 1.
