Hey everybody.

So Ive got a Warwick Corvette Proline and the input is shot, all crackle-y and cutting out, you know the issue. When I go onto the Warwick site, there only seems to be one "jack" as they call it. What gives? Are all the inputs on warwicks the same? Also, the replacement process itself looks pretty straight forward. Im mildly skilled with tools and am not an idiot. Do these traits qualify me for a DIY repair? Also, my stacked volume pot is all funky too. Could anyone offer some guidance on replacing that?

Call US Music at 800-877-6863, and ask for the guitar department. They are the Warwick distributor in the US and are your best bet for getting parts outside of Germany. If you know the part number that helps...I believe its M 50100

Are people having success using non-tapered B strings? I'm about to order some strings for my new Streamer LX 5 and I've noticed the bass came with tapered and Warwick recommends this but have people found it necessary? There's a lot more options if I don't have to stick with tapered but there are tapered ones out there that I like. Thanks ahead of time.

I use .132 Chromes on my $$5 without issue. You need to use the outer adjustments on the two piece bridge to set it up.

Here's a Warwick love story.

The first bass I ever bought myself, was a used German-made 2004 Warwick FNA. I loved it, until the bridge literally exploded when a string broke. I couldn't afford to replace the bridge, and it was actually quite hard to find one at that time, so I traded it.

Here's the only picture I can find of it.

Fast forward about 6 months of being without a Warwick, and I went into my local Music-go-round to get rid of a couple things I didnt use. Then, I saw this Warwick hanging there, it looked nice, and thought to myself, "Max dont play it, you know if you play it you'll walk out with it." But I played it anyway, and it felt like I never sold the FNA, I missed that signature growl so much, when I played it I was reminded very quickly why I should have never sold it. Got it at an even trade for the stuff I was trading in. But, I DID NOT miss the weight, forgot that the sound of REAL wood comes with REAL weight.

It's a Warwick Corvette $$ Rockbass, passive, VVT with pull pots for parallel/series, and I LOVE HAVING A WARWICK AGAIN!!!! I was surprised by quality, it being a Rockbass, it's as good as I remember my German-made FNA was.

This one is here to stay.

So I'm on eBay last week and when I search "bass guitar", there was a nice Warwick Corvette Proline on the first page of hits.

Opening bid, $250, no big deal - but it had a BIN price of just $325. I open a new tab to check how much $ I have in my PayPal account - enough to cover it - and by the time I came back, it was gone.

The guy listed some minor issues - but either didn't know what he had, or just needed $325. Either way, I'm still pissed at myself for not clicking the BIN button and figuring out the payment later. It really was one of those "snooze you lose" situations...

I'm curious if it was someone here who swiped it? Here's the original listing:

This guy just screwed the market for those of us trying to sell '90s wenge necked Warwicks, especially Corvettes, which I was trying to sell until I saw this!!! It'll take months for that to go away. Guess I'm hanging on to mine for awhile.
