That one is beautiful. I'm trying to find one of these:

Anybody have one they'd like to sell me?

I just played a used one on Friday, comparing it to the one I bought. It was a VERY nice bass to say the least, just not what I was hunting for. If your interested, check with Cream City Music in Brookfield, WI. You can find them on the web too but I don't know if that one is listed as they just got it in.

Hey, 'Wick experts.. anyone got a cure for a rattling open B string? I raised the nut fairly high and that didn't alleviate the problem. All the fretted notes are fine and none of the other open strings rattle.

I had the same issue with my Corvette FNA I couldn't figure it out for almost 6 months. I tried tightening my bridge up at every point and it wasn't the nut either. Recently I tried two things I made sure the screw for intonation was tight that wasn’t as tight as possible then I also made sure the pickup screws were all tight and snug on both pickups there were two sticking up a little above the pickup just a hair and after I made sure all of those were snug buzzing gone.

Thanks, I'll check the screws.
I decided to try changing strings. The Ernie Ball B-string I had on there was a .130 and the ball end wouldn't lie down in the channel. It was secure, but not locked down. So I put on a set of DR Marcus Miller Fat Beams I had lying around. That B is a .125 and Warwick says use taper-core above .125, so it thought it might help. No dice. The ball end is secure, but floating above the bottom of the channel. It's rattling at the nut a little less than the Ernie Ball, but still rattles.
So now I have a .125 taper-core DR Long Neck on the way. I'm hoping that will help me set up the bass a little more precisely and maybe the rattling will stop. Other than that one note, the bass is amazing.
Incidentally, also cleaned the fretboard and frets with Gorgomyte. Incredible product. The frets look new.

Hey Dave, This probably isn’t your issue but I bought a 94 NT Thumb 5 string and there was rattling in the neck and I thought it was the nut and I couldn’t track it down for the life of me. Turned out it was the truss rod rattling inside the neck. The rod was fine not broken but on certain notes it just rattled and I shot some WD40 down the hole of where the truss rod adjustments are made. Two or three shots and it stopped. Also I shoot a little down every used bass I buy to keep truss rods moving freely.

Cool, thanks for that. I hope that's not the issue with my bass, but it could be.

Could you stop quoting the post just above yours? It's useless and makes the thread a lot harder to read imho.

So I'm on eBay last week and when I search "bass guitar", there was a nice Warwick Corvette Proline on the first page of hits.

Opening bid, $250, no big deal - but it had a BIN price of just $325. I open a new tab to check how much $ I have in my PayPal account - enough to cover it - and by the time I came back, it was gone.

The guy listed some minor issues - but either didn't know what he had, or just needed $325. Either way, I'm still pissed at myself for not clicking the BIN button and figuring out the payment later. It really was one of those "snooze you lose" situations...

I'm curious if it was someone here who swiped it? Here's the original listing:

Warwick Corvette ProLine 4-String Bass Made in Germany in 1996 with Extras | eBay

It's probably listed on craigslist somewhere for $800.

Hey all! So I'm fairly new to TB, and I notice that a lot of us here are club members. What's the deal? How do you get in? I have a Warwick. Do I get accepted by someone? Do I just say, "hey, I have a Warwick! I'm in the club!"
All jokes aside, I'm curious. Can anyone fill me in?

If you have an interest in that sort of thing all you need to do is post in the tread that represents ownership or contact the OP and request a number.

Welcome aboard :bassist:

Let's see what I have in my phone....
