i have a 2000 infinity set neck and out of my NT basses the tension is perfect feels like a 35” but the bolt ons feel great i agree the ovengkol necks are bigger feeling in your palm area than the wenge that’s faster and quicker
Preparing to fabricate some new wood truss covers for all my basses… laser cut and will laser etch the names. Several woods to choose from, but for my Warwicks I think I’ll go with Zebrawood 
and ordering up some Wenge tuners, to make em extra purty…

If I had the font, and a picture of the original then yes.
It seems to be a variation on the classic Brush Script which I don't care for, that font should only be used in proper case but they have a pattern of using it in all caps for many of the titles. I don't particularly care for Brush Script (since I was a teenager
), so I've designed my own for each of my basses with a slightly different script font.I'll post some picts tomorrow.

Sweet, a fellow engraver! I've been working with co2 and fiber for years. Are you able to bevel the edge, or just sand it down? I thought about making another cover for my streamer CV, it has the engraved Rosewood cover, but it's only in vector outlining the word streamer. Ive thought about cutting a new Rosewood plate with synthetic mother of pearl to inlay in matching the pickguard. I have the MOP, I just need the plank now. I'd do something special on the pickguard but these streamers arnt flat and they don't lay down flush enough for me
Are you going to fill those above plates with gold or just engrave them?
I don’t have an automated way to bevel so might just do some light sanding if needed. I hadn’t thought about filling the engraving with gold but I do have some 24 karat gold leave that I could lay in there… that’s an interesting idea maybe I’ll experiment with that today if I can find some sizer that goes along with the gold leaf
Well it's only spray, or brush, but you could mask before you engraved and then fill it that way, not as nice as gold but it would stand out. Either way cool! Only my Streamer has gold hardware, so might try it there… I think the others will look better with just the charred etching since they have black hardware.

If you have a slow belt sander it's pretty easy to profile 1/8-3/16" board, but yes I've even beveled with a frame mat jig/razor, if the woods soft enough. I'm new to these woods from warwick though

That sounds challenging to me
I do also have a mount for my Dremmel that allows me to set it at an angle which would make this pretty easy, dunno if I want to bevel yet though. Playing now, so we’ll see.
I made some truss rod covers out of wenge a while back. Didn't put in very much effort, but I enjoy how they turned out.
The Fortress got some love today. I finally pulled the hardware to wax up the headstock

Whoa! What's the secret? I waxed my headstock last string replacement but it didn't really darken up. I have a couple spots that are getting light. I did knock some tarnish off my nut and frets this weekend...
I used 2 coats of the Howard's Feed-n-Wax, wipe it off (buff) with a cloth (I used part of an old Tshirt) after about 20 minutes. It smells like oranges when you're putting it on, but doesnt have a scent or residue the next day.
It might help to take the hardware off to get full coverage.
