Is that a broadneck???
Yes it's a broadneck! From what I read, all 5-string Dolphins were broadnecks in the beginning. Standard was also the soapbar Bartolinis, and of course the slimmer neck profile along with different woods than used today. All in all a very nice bass imo, and so far I can almost not put it down. The only minor gripe is that the preamp is very active sounding, aggressive, but I can pull to passive and I have a sadowski preamp/DI on the way, so I might use it like that.

Edit, I found a preamp trimpot in the cavity, someone had turned it way up. The preamp sounds much better now.

Gotta love Dana B. Goods' customer service. I emailed Tyler today about replacing the JANII on my '04 SSI with the newer JANIII. After going back and forth with a couple of emails, he is sending me, free of charge, TWO JANIII's, so that if I decide I want to put one on my '00, I will have one here for it.

Needless to say, I'm very impressed. I had heard they were offering them about a year ago as a replacement, but I didn't realize they would still do it, for free, anyway.:)

Definitely great service from them. I ordered one over the summer for my Corvette before the deadline (August 1st) and didn't get it for quite some time. I called them up, and they said they'd send me another one (also free) and if I got both of them to just keep one as a spare. Hows that for great service?!

Ryan L., if you haven't seen the JAN III yet, I'd have to say it is definitely a huge improvement. Not only is it a better design, but the material they use is much sturdier and heavier (I thought it would be the same material as the JAN II). Installation is beyond easy. Let me know how it goes!

here is my corvette!!

the katana is my dream bass :D i want to add a kahler to it

Those Katanas are pretty cool. I played one at GC some time ago. It was priced pretty reasonably, too, IIRC.

The ONLY thing I'm not so sure about with those is the built-in butt cheeks.:D

guitar center was convinced it was a rockbass. they made sure i knew it when i was buying it. "you know this is a rockbass and not a real warwick, right?" my response was of course i know that.

what they don't know will never hurt them. i love capatilizing on guitar center knowitalls!!!!!:spit:

plus i have a friend in the guitar center family that got it for me for $365 with tax. i think i got a pretty good deal. :hyper:
