Applying for membership here. I just bought a lovely 1991 Dolphin. I also posted on the warwick forum, but now here

I love my Streamer but man, those Dolphins look perfect . That will be my next bass! If ya' don't mnd me asking, how much did you get it for?
The newer "Pro" models are pretty pricey. About the neck that looks about as broad as my 6-string, WOW! Also, it might just be me but that neck looks like a longer scale neck than usual, is that possible?

Enjoy!:hyper:

Here are my babies... Described in my signature line... Man, are they sweet to play!!

guitar center was convinced it was a rockbass. they made sure i knew it when i was buying it. "you know this is a rockbass and not a real warwick, right?" my response was of course i know that.

what they don't know will never hurt them. i love capatilizing on guitar center knowitalls!!!!!:spit:

plus i have a friend in the guitar center family that got it for me for $365 with tax. i think i got a pretty good deal. :hyper:

haha that's borderline thievery! Frankly, the 2 piece bridge and wenge neck (right?) should be a dead givaway, and also the WARWICK inlay and not a ROCKBASS on the head stock, ... Their loss.

Nice catch anyway, a Fortress in good nick for $365, that's sweet.

can anyone tell me what a corvette FNA jazzman 5 string is worth. it has been sitting at a certain LARGE music store for quite some time and my friend wants to blow it out.....for $1200

he said retail on it was $2100 or something to that effect.

it is an 05 model that has been sitting there since 05?

is $1200 worth it?

I'm still beating myself up for not grabbing a Streamer Stage I 5-string for an unbelievable price a while ago.

Translucent Red oil finish, great shape and everything. The price was somewhere in between 9 and 10k swedish crowns. These usually cost 25k+ (store price, not retail) in Sweden.:crying:

I've been looking for a 5-string with wide spacing, and that one would've been perfect.

Darn it. I need to do some detective work, and see where it ended up, perhaps it wasn't sold at all.

I've got a Corvette STD passive but I don't have any pics of it handy so I'll have to get some today and put them up.

Would a set of EMG J's be a good replacement for the stock pups? I'm fairly happy with the tone now but I'm thinking the increased bottom and top of actives would make it perfect.

go fot it man. My '88 THumb Bass has it's original EMG's and pre in it and i love the sound it gets. kinda hi-fi if you know what i mean.

Maybe one of you honkies can answer this quick for me;

What is the difference between a SSI and SSII?

Thaanks

If you go to the Warwick site you can size them up but the main differences are the body woods, body construction (both NT but the SSII has a facing slice of wood to make it look like one solid piece of timber from the front) and the pups are different SSI = PJ & SSII = JJ

Has got to be the strangest looking grain on a Thumb NT. It looks like one half of it is bubinga and the other half is bubinga pomelle.

You aren't the first person that has said this about the grain on my bass. It really does look like half is stright grained and the other half is almost quilted. I love this bass. I really need to get some wax to it and take some more pics. I can only imagine how it would look after that. Thanks for the compliment.
