Well, this is my first post on Talkbass (been trying for three months to get activated...), but I'm an avid Warwick user. Got my first one back in April and now I own four! Even have my dream bass - a Thumb NT, for only $1400 thanks to eBay!

Haven't owned a Warwick for a few years now, but I was holder of two Stage IIs, a Dolphin, and a Corvette Pro 5. This was back during the Wenge days.

I have had an itch to get one back, this time, maybe a P-Nut or $$NT.

Also, if any of you card carrying members is looking to get a new one, let me know, I may have a way to get a decent deal for a couple orders.

Hey folks...can I join the club? :) I just snagged a used (although I can't tell it from new) Warwick Thumb Bolt-on 5-string broad-neck. I got some details from the factory, and turns out this was a $5000+ Warwick Custom Shop bass...way cool for me, because I only paid a fraction of that to take it home with me! It has a figured maple fretboard, ovangkol neck, zebrawood top, ekanga center, swamp ash back, MEC soapbars and 2-band EQ, ~20mm bridge string spacing, etc. I spotted it hanging on the wall in my local Sam Ash, noticed it was the unusual wide neck model, pulled it down and played it, couldn't put it down, and decided to take it home with me. :p

So far, I'm thrilled with it. I really like how it sounds and plays, I like all the bridge and nut adjustability, etc., etc. I've got the action crazy low, and there's no uncontrollable buzzing...love it. Only downsides I can see are that it's heavy and doesn't balance particularly well...but I think I can live with that. :smug:

I had never played another Warwick that I simply couldn't put down (not sure that I've ever played a Thumb though, to be honest)...but man, this one I could not put down! :D
