is that some kind of quick "d" tune drop on your peg there?
(2nd pic from bottom)

Yes it is! It is a Hipshot GB-7 Xtender D-Tuner. I put them on all my 4-string Warwicks and use the drop D all the time at my church. The seller said he put the original E tuner back on, so I don't know if he's sending the D-Tuner with the bass or not. Just in case, I bought a gold Hipshot off eBay for a cheap $65.00 right after I won the bass. ;)

Just won this high polish blue AAA flame Streamer Stage I beauty off eBay today for $1600:

Woah....mistook that for an LX when casually browsing this thread, but now I realize that it's a SSI......awesome finish, I have a thing for blue finishes over maple tops.

The price you got it for is great.....I wish you could come by these deals more often in Europe.

Thank you!

Look into a company called "hipshot." I think you'll be blown away.

And thank YOU!

Just picked a RockBass Corvette 5 Special Edition, it's the one topped with the thick flame maple. This is my first Warwick, and I'm lovin' it! Now I'm looking at all of these beautiful basses and looking at setting my sights on future purchases. I have a question and figured this was the place. I'm looking at all the different models and obviously the models with jazz pickups will sound similar to a Fender J bass, and I would think that the models wit the humbuckers in a similar place to my Ibanez USA ATK, and a Musicman will sound somewhat similar, but what about the other models? Is there somewhere on the web that kind of gives a description of the tonal qualities of the whole Warwick line? Thanks!

Yeah, TalkBass isn't exactly a very Warwick friendly place in general.

If you compare the WW forums with the EB/MM forums, people seem to be a little more open-minded in the WW forum. You don't get scolded for pointing out something negative about a bass.

+1

I finally got tired of people with no point of refernece knocking Warwicks so i expressed my feelings in the kindest way possible...

"If you have tried a couple Warwicks and decided that they werem't the right brand for you then that is fine. You tried them and they didn't work. At least you tried.

If you have NEVER tried a Warwick bass and you have made the decision to tell people that the are bad instruments, then shut your trap. You have no first hand experience so you have no real basis for comparision to other brands."
