Even my wife calls this one my girlfriend. A 1991 German Streamer Stage I 6 string that I purchased in 1993.

She's got a neck like a surfboard, but if you strap high enough she plays like a dream.I just used her again this last weekend for a gig and I still love playing her.

me with my baby. its the only pic with my warwick corvette 4 thus far. this bass is by far the best feeling bass i've ever owned. a little heavy but nothing too overbearing. i love it even if it did put me back $1200.

Not at all...bought it new about 3 years ago. I was currently in the market for an Upright Bass but fell in love with this bass. It was my first Wick experience.

I guess I am a new member here, just got a Thumb bolt on and learning to play it. I got it on Craig's list where I also got GK 400 rb and GK 15" cab sounds sweet.

Is mine Bubinga or ovankel wood and what is the difference?

I will try to post pic later but if anyone knows please let me know.

Most thumbs are Bubinga. Bubinga is a bit woodier sounding, Ovankel a little thumpier with a hint of a bark...it's really hard to explain

Bubinga is usually used for the body and Ovankol is used for the neck.

He's got a Bolt on, which means that unless its early 90's, its probably Ovangkol. I want a bolt-on bubinga bodied thumb very badly. One day I will own one.

Pre-90's there were many made out of Walnut.
