The top pic is me with my 1997 Corvette Standard, affectionately named Artemis Moon. I bought this baby from Joe Nerve in April 2005.
I chose Artemis because the bass has this untamed, wild, vibe to it and Artemis is the Greek goddess of wild animals. This bass is my baby, and I take extremely good care of it (it's my dream bass after all; I've wanted a 'wick since I was 16) but whenever I take the stage with it, she always encourages me to go wild, and I'm often dancing around, jumping into the crowd, writhing on the floor, and I'm always confident because the bass tells me I can do it. She's built like a tank, never goes out of tune, is very easy playing (whether strapped high or slung low) and is just the absolute best bass I've ever encountered. She's truly one of a kind and I can see why Joe loved her so much and nearly cried when he sold her.
Oh, and I chose Moon because in my family's native language, my last name (Chandran) means the moon.
I've played a few Warwicks over the years. I've played a Thumb 5, a Doublebuck 4, and my friend's Warwick frankenbass (Rockbass Corvette body with a German ovangkol neck), and Artemis Moon trumps them all. I've played other high end basses (Pedulla, Fodera, Modulus, vintage Fender) and none feel as right to me as Artemis.
