The top pic is me with my 1997 Corvette Standard, affectionately named Artemis Moon. I bought this baby from Joe Nerve in April 2005.

I chose Artemis because the bass has this untamed, wild, vibe to it and Artemis is the Greek goddess of wild animals. This bass is my baby, and I take extremely good care of it (it's my dream bass after all; I've wanted a 'wick since I was 16) but whenever I take the stage with it, she always encourages me to go wild, and I'm often dancing around, jumping into the crowd, writhing on the floor, and I'm always confident because the bass tells me I can do it. She's built like a tank, never goes out of tune, is very easy playing (whether strapped high or slung low) and is just the absolute best bass I've ever encountered. She's truly one of a kind and I can see why Joe loved her so much and nearly cried when he sold her.

Oh, and I chose Moon because in my family's native language, my last name (Chandran) means the moon.

I've played a few Warwicks over the years. I've played a Thumb 5, a Doublebuck 4, and my friend's Warwick frankenbass (Rockbass Corvette body with a German ovangkol neck), and Artemis Moon trumps them all. I've played other high end basses (Pedulla, Fodera, Modulus, vintage Fender) and none feel as right to me as Artemis.

cool! mine is also an 97 :bassist:

My '01 SSII presenting her modest clean lines.

Plays great; superb neck and tone; good range, gotoh d-tuner. Quite hot output.

Recently survived a very long trip to Australia... even a short spell in the hold that neither of us wanna talk about... Be careful when you take your Wick on board! Make sure the overhead compartments are wide enough... it's risky/dicey up in the skies, you could be at the mercy of a very unkind flight manager/pursor.

But, solid as a rock! Hooray for German engineering.

Hey tommyr01, is that the natural? It looks a lot more yellow than I had expected. I weighing up between the Nirvana Black and the Antique Tobacco at the moment.

It is the Honey Violin. I played the natural here at GC and noticed that it showed alot of marks and nicks. I looked around online to see the different colors and picked the Honey Violin. I was waivering between the Nirvana Black and the Honey. It really looks great in person. Shows the beautiful wood grain and the black hardware accents it well.
I will work on sound clips soon........

Here is a desktop wallpaper I made. If anybody wants a full size of this one, or one with your particular model of warwick, just pm me and I'd be happy to make it.

About time this wick owner got off his backside and posted here. Here she is freshly waxed and for your delictation. She is a 91 N/T Thumb 5 and I stumbled on her in the Bass Centre in London around 8/9 years ago.

She has both the looks and tone to die for - indeed she has a tone sent by God himself - I am not worthy.

Although my Sei should be about in the next few weeks - this baby will always be out and about with me. She is going nowhere - I love my wick.

That 2nd photo doesn't do much justice so I'll take another tomorrrow and edit this posting.
