@cosmicevan I loved the hilton bass too!! I played it at one of my old bands shows and a few other times in the shop when Pete just finished it. I've always kept my eye out for it.

That hilton bass is back with Pete right now getting a makeover. Pete is making it a lined fretless with bloodwood fretlines, he is making a new pickup cover made of cocobolo and bloodwood, installing active electronics, creating new bloodwood knobs, and refinishing it. I will post before and after pics when it is done.

Only one, really... and I have owned a LOT of basses... apart from the ones I own now, I only miss this early Skjold:

No idea why I don't have a full bass shot... but I don't. This Skjold was a bit heavy, but played very nicely, and the sound of that B string was just unreal... thick, full, and could yet cut through in any mix.
But greed got the best of me, and when a guy came to try another bass I had for sale, played this one and offered me 2,000 dollars more than what I could have normally sold it for... I took the cash

You don't still have that bass do you? I thought I saw it pop up on ebay at one point and was in a shop in NY...I went to the shop to check it out but they couldn't find it. Would love to get ahold of that one again.

I regret selling everything but the one I miss the most is my LTD EC414 bass.

It was kinda on the heavy side, the first few frets felt like they were 18 kilometres away and it had incurable neck dive but it played like a dream (on the frets you could actually reach) and the sound was fantastic. Plus it was so beautiful and to me, the best incarnation of the singlecut shape on a bass.

I regret it even more since it's been discontinued.

I've probably sold more great basses than about anyone on here but have only truly regretted 3 basses that I sold. All 3 I tried to buy back and was able to get 2 of them. The Warrior is the only Warrior I regretted letting go and was one of the best I owned. Luckily the 2 Roscoes I've enjoyed the most I was able to get both back.

That's the Rivera right? I'd love to find that bass again. I actually JUST traded my beloved 36" Thompson that I had for 10 years for a 32" Thompson, so very timely that this thread popped up as I'm missing seeing my old bass, but super happy with the new one.

I miss all those basses still...especially the Pavel and Hilton though...and I still search for Linc Luthier instruments every now and again.
