The Pedulla Club!

ok, so i'm thinking of getting my 1990 MVP refinished. Here's what it looks like now (black)...

any suggestions (or examples) of what color i should choose?

I'm leaning toward Peacock Blue

or Arctic Night
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

but i can't seem to decide as they all look so good...bear in mind that my mvp probably doesn't have the flame (although its possible i suppose), since it was a solid color.

Here are some examples -

The Arcitic night WITHOUT a flame top would look absolutely incredible.

Can I join?

Here's my MVP. Got it back in the mid 80's and it was my main bass for a little over ten years. She ain't as pretty as she use to be, but we had a lot of fun over the years.

Not many 4-string Raptures on here. I don't have any pics of just the bass, so ignore my ugly mug in these pics:

And here's a pic of my Rapture AND my barefoot guitard (someone mentioned earlier that you don't see bare feet on stage much anymore):

Man, I love that Rapture finish! I really want a single humbucker 5'ver.

FWIW, my guitarist plays without shoes too.:smug:

I'd like to see what figuring the wood has first.

I don't think I've shown you the other side.

The batter cover took a beating. Notice the screw holes. The finish simply didn't hold up to about 60-70 battery changes. :D

Same with the tuners.
After, I really don't know how many string changes the E-string tuner broke, so I replaced it with a HipShot De-tuner. A little while later one of the tuners on the opposite side broke. The rest were replaced with the Grover tuners you see in the pic. The originals were no longer used by Pedulla and not available from the Manufacture. Schaller IIRC.

The De-Tuner also had a little modification so it would work properly. Pfft. Don't tell me something wont fit! :p

yeha, i'm definitely leaning toward the arctic night too...its just a color you don't see too often, and i think it would look good no matter what the finish (not sure all of those burst ones would look good)

yeah, i wonder if they would strip it and then send me a picture before i decided the finish...

No worries!!! I've been to the Pedulla shop twice. Mike is "good people." Call him, make an appointment and get down there!!!! He'll even give you some good suggestions for a place to get lunch...

Pedulla basses may not be the current "flavor-of-the-month" here on TB, but Mike has been making world-class basses for over a quarter-of-a-century now! He is a class act, and really cares about his customers. Call him and see for yourself! Trust me! !!!!

PM me if you want/need more info!!!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Best regards,
Kevin
