I forgot to mention I just did the cap change in the drive section. None of the switches or the resistor changes.

I use the .22uf in mine.

I've tried the .1uf and it helped, but not enough.
The 1.0uf seemed to boomy for me.

That capacitor is basically the difference in the Ibanez Metal Screamer. It's .082uF, which probably still isn't high enough, but it's a little better.

that's a good place to start. Personally though i prefer to keep the boost up higher around atleast 300Hz so the lowend will stay clean when you crank the gain. You can always turn the treble down to compensate.

My favorite mod is sticking in a pair of rotary switches and having one to control the frequency gain and another to switch between diode types and combinations and also the placement (after the opamp like a rat or keep them strapped across the feedback). I find less harsh clipping gives the impression of less low end loss aswell.

Basically, compared to a TS10. It has some extra bypass circuitry compared with a TS-9 or TS-808, but that's not going to be horribly significant, and is really probably a good thing.

Lol I'm not a big modder yet. I am learning. I just saw this as a simple/anyone could do it mod. Do you have a link to show the ones your talking about?

Interesting. I've never heard one of those pedals, but now i assume they sound like a TS-9

ahh sorry, don't have a link but if you give me a bit of time i could draw up something if you'd like although it may warrent a total rebuild to be able to do these mods since the rotary switches are big

you just replaced the 1 cap ?
