As a died-in-the-wool flats guy, I found the buzzing of the roundwounds so prominent and distracting that I was unable to appreciate the instrument.

Another died in the wool flats guy here, I guess I just instinctively block that sound out having it heard it so many times.

It sounds a lot to me like a microphone placed next to an incandescent light bulb with a faulty filament. Very distracting.

In fairness that channel always suffers immensely with great gear sounding average at best and often terrible. They seem like nice enough guys but they are usually below average players with limited skill (stuck in djent metal teenage gear). I’ve learned to just ignore their content as it’s not really beneficial as it never highlights the strengths, or weaknesses of what they’re reviewing.
