I definitly have to second this remark. Who's to say who is better? They both play pratically polar opposite styles of music. They were both astounding in their own ways as well, and paved new roads in their styles. So to say one is better than the other, is simply obsurd. This thread seems to have absolutly no point, to me anyway.

I hadn't seen such a fuss over John Entwistle before his death. I never found him that amazing, sure he was better than I am, but as for all of the R.I.P. signatures, and polls/threads such as this one; I dont feel there would ever be such a fuss if he was alive.

I didn't vote on this poll it seems quite rediculous, I am not sure there is anything to learn from it.

If he doesn't amaze you, then you haven't given him a fair chance. And yes, there was a "fuss" over him even in life. And now that he's gone, a few members decide to respect him, and you insult them? YOu said "sure he was better than I am", and that is quite an understatement. If you ever live to be able to say that you're one thrid as good of a bassist, and bring so much to this world as he did, THAT waould be something to make a "big fuss" over.

My rant!
