I just sold my other acoustic guitar to a man who buying it for his son. I am now down to one 3/4-size acoustic guitar, which I will keep for noodling and song writing. I may eventually want to get an electric so I can plug in for recording.

I was just reading String Instrument Setups: 10 Setups To Make Your Instrument Louder, Better, And Easier To Play, and chadds' post jogged my memory,
And I imagine it always pays to be more sensitive to the finer detail. It all adds up.
I've been playing an electric-acoustic archtop, one reminiscent of a Johnny Smith, for a few years now but mostly amplified, not unplugged. It's really delightful plugged-in. I do not do it justice, by any stretch of the imagination. Not so long ago I discovered something fundamental to this guitar, that floored me.
With the body tucked in close to my tummy, pressing against its beautiful carved back, the way I'm accustomed to playing, I was muting the volume considerably – not a problem with the flat tops. I always worried that it was a little quiet, acoustically, but I had absolutely no idea it was all my fault
I'm gonna thoroughly enjoy reading this book. There's so much to learn. Thanks again , TB, for stringing me along
I should pay more attention 
… How wise it is to respect the true nature of things. Everything that vibrates sympathetically is linked somehow - parts becoming the whole experience - especially where there's contact, the one affects the other, indefatigably. It's contact, Sport

Need to know where to look. If he/she was lost in USA, no point in looking in France.If he/she knew that, he/she wouldn't be looking for him/her......
What if he/she didn't lose him/her anywhere but is merely looking for him/her wherever he/she may be?....

Perhaps the better advice is turn on the light and/or open your eyes?
There are some Threads that I do not click on and have no intention of ever clicking on. Yet if it now has a padlock on it, I must open it.
I just realized today how much I really like REO Speedwagon and Alice In Chains. I mean, I always knew it, I just didn't pay attention. Whoa.
