I was messaging BSO and he had a shipment come in, but had to fill existing orders so doesn't have any balanced nickels till' next week. I looked around some local music stores but no one is stocking them on shelves at the moment it seems. I was eyeing those D'Addario tapewounds just yesterday. How is the tension? I would like to try tapewounds but I don't want anything too floppy.

I am not sure how to quantify the flop of Daddario tapewounds as they feel unlike any other bass string I have tried. The polished nylon makes them fast and they do move around on the board but they bend more like nylon acoustic strings, pliable but firm. They dont feel nearly as loose as, say, TIs.

Oh well that's not too bad then. I don't even find TI Flats to be ridiculous in terms of floppiness, so maybe I'll have to give the D'Addario nylons a try on my jazz bass!

I had D'add Black Nylon Tapes on my shorties.

They are not floppy.

One string that is floppy is the La Bella White Copper Nylons.

Won't that produce 9 separate groups, as you would also need to include the possibility of a group being indifferent to one or the other or both.

I am going to leave you with an eyeopening post by Shadowtippy about a young Shadowtippy and the day he found out about this candy.

Backstory: When I was but a small child, I would see advertisements for Almond Joy. It looked wonderful. I scrimped and saved until I could amass a nickel (it was a long time ago) and purchase an Almond Joy. My fingers trembled as I unwrapped those two pieces of candy. I took one of them in my grubby little fingers and took a bite. My tastebuds revolted. COCONUT!!! BAH!!! Why had no one warned me that that was an abomination, that it was the worst imaginable thing to do to chocolate and almonds? Taken by surprise like that, by something that looked so good, so pure, was a shattering event in my young life. To this day, I abhor coconut.

My red Dodge Ram with 20" wheels must be invisible. I've been hit 5 times. I always think that if you can't see a big red pickup truck, you shouldn't be driving.

5. Prefers carrots to Neil Diamond and Mounds
