Damn, brother, I was gonna report on a fistfight Gene "just" got into here in Los Angeles at age 71 - but when I pulled the story, I found out it
is a report from 2001 !!!

Gene is now 88.

And I am getting to the age where decades go by like THAT.

My late mom once went to change the baking soda box she was using to deodorize the fridge. She figured it was about due.
The date on the box revealed she'd put it there 12 years earlier.
