That's what happens to me when I hear opera.

The key to understanding and appreciating opera is to start in the right place. Do not try the heavier material first, it will turn you off. Start with light comic opera such as some Rossini.


Only once you are comfortable with this type of material should you try darker, denser material such as Wagner.
